Living One Breath at a Time
It was this time last year when I was in a remote Bedouin fishing settlement of the Sinai with guru Rowan Gillies, who asked me, “How long is your life?”.
I didn’t know what kind of answer he was expecting; 80, 90, 100 years old?
He replied, “One breath.”
“This very moment, this very breath, is the only one you know you have for sure.”
In freediving you hold your breath, you suspend life extending the present moment, time slows down, it’s this rare moment when you experience life’s magic so vividly and fully.
If your life is one breath, then freediving is living more powerful than we can ever comprehend.
